The Inspiration and Journey Behind Maison De Coton
Yuxuan began her journey with an intensive three-year program at Le Arti Orafe, where she studied various aspects of jewelry design and craftsmanship, including jewelry making, Rhino design, stone setting, and wax carving. Her education provided a strong foundation for her future work in the jewelry industry.
After graduating, Yuxuan explored different opportunities but found herself continuously drawn back to jewelry design. The turning point came when she moved to Finland with her husband and felt inspired by the supportive entrepreneurial environment. Encouraged by the government’s assistance and guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs, Yuxuan decided to pursue her passion and establish Maison De Coton.
Setting up shop in Helsinki presented challenges such as renovating a worn-down space and building everything herself. Despite these hurdles, her determination and professional expertise propelled her forward. Maison De Coton officially opened its doors in November 2023, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Yuxuan’s journey.
Future Plans for Maison De Coton
Looking ahead Yuxuan has ambitious plans for Maison De Coton. She aims to enhance the brand’s presence by focusing on jewelry customization and unique, handmade designs. She is envisioning a future where Maison De Coton becomes a well-known brand beyond her local neighborhood. Her dream is for Maison De Coton to stand alongside other prominent jewelry brands, recognized for its quality and distinctiveness.
